File Explorer in Windows 10 has various features which makes better interface and user friendly than Windows 8.File Explorer is the program in your Windows 10 OS that lets you navigate to different files and folder. File Explorer has got some additional features than the old windows explorer .There are several ways to quickly launch file explorer in Windows. Quickest way is Windows logo key+E.
Other quick way just type “File Explorer” in search bar “Ask me anything”. It will open File Explorer directly.

File Explorer has some additional features than the old windows explorer:
Quick Access: It lists the recently accessed files and frequently used folders.
One Drive: It is similar to Google Drive which allows uploading and accessing from anywhere.
File Sharing: It allows selecting and sharing files easily.
Picture Tools: It provides you some basic image operations such as rotate, set as background, slideshows etc.
File Menu: The file menu allows users to launch command prompt & windows Powershell.
Search: File Explorer allows you to search items specific to the current folder and its sub-folders.
Custom Navigation: It allows left-pane navigation according to your needs using the ‘View’ tab on top.
This PC: It’s the new name of old computer name which was” My Computer”
Flat UI: It has flat look.
How to get help with File Explorer in Windows 10:
If you would like feature of new Quick access item to the list you’ll simply have it off from File Explorer. Right click on the specified folder and choose “Pin to quick access” option.
To launch File Explorer even faster choose “Pin to Start” or “Pin to taskbar” option or follow the instructions in the below diagram.
If you would like to get rid of associate degree item from Quick Access menu simply choose “Unpin from quick Access” option.
Some user’s faces File Explorer hangs when you click right click. So no need to worry, you can follow simple steps and you can get rid of this issue. Here are the solutions:
1: Press “Windows+ x” and select “command prompt (admin)” and write “netsh” and hit enter and then press” Winsock reset“. Now you need to restart your computer. It will fix the issue.
However, you can try to uninstall the windows update; it will help to fix the issue.
Here are the steps to uninstall updates:
Type in Search box” Windows update “> select “windows update settings“>update history>uninstall updates>select and click on uninstall , and all updates will be uninstalled.

You can run “sfc /scan now” and “powershell” in command prompt as admin. It may fix the issue.

Windows Key +E: It will open new file explorer
Alt+Shift+P: show or hide the details pane.
Alt+P: show or hide the Preview pane.
Ctrl+N : open a new File explorer window.
Ctrl+E : Activate the Search bar.
Alt+up arrow key: go up one folder within the folder tree.
